He previously covered the Chicago Bulls for The Athletic and has served as a national NBA reporter and columnist for Bleacher Report, USA Today and NBC Sports. His work has been honored by both the Associated Press Sports Editors and the Pro Basketball Writers Association in their annual writing contests, and he was named Oregon Sportswriter of the Year for 2023 by the National Sports Media Association.
